WELCOME TO OUR TAMU NSBE CHAPTER              

The National Society of Black Engineers is a student-managed, non-profit organization that is committed to recruiting, retaining, and motivating its membership to successfully complete a college education.  It is an organized network of support for individuals who are typically underrepresented in the engineering and science community. By implementing programs that promote academic excellence, personal growth, and career development.  NSBE continues to increase the number of professionals who are committed t community development and prepared to successfully compete in technical surroundings.  Since its creation in 1975, the society has grown to represent over 15,000 members and 200 colleges and universities nationwide.  The student chapter of NSBE at Texas A&M University was chartered in 1977 due to strong student interest in promoting the goals of the national organization on campus.  Since then, the TAMU NSBE chapter has become a strong campus organization receiving numerous awards and recognitions both local and at the national level.
